Claire Watson
I was raised in what I now know to be a neurodivergent home. Until my early 30's I never felt like I belonged anywhere outside my home, at all. I became a single parent at just turned 20 yrs old, I had no career, or home. I went back to school. I built a corporate career. At 38 I became a single parent again. I smoked for the best part of 20 years. I've been overweight most of my adult life. I've had two emergency surgeries (appendix & ectopic) and three bouts of post natal depression. I've done CBT therapy, counselling and HRT. I am a multiple IRONMAN finisher.
I'm now 47 and for the first time in my life am able to say that I am genuinely proud of the life I have lived and the person I am and its nothing to do with the Ironman finish line. It is however everything to do with the person I had to become to get here. You can read more of my story in the book - when it's finished.
